I would like to pop in here for a minute to wish you all a happy thanksgiving. I hope all of you travel safely and remember that every other driver on the road is attempting to do the same.

Also, keep in mind that just because it is available doesn’t mean you have to eat everything. It’s kind of gross.

I’m not going to apologize again for being behind on things but I do appreciate the people who are being very patient with me. Summer is very busy and distracting, but I’m trying to get back into the swing of things by posting new concept art as I finish each of them. Here is Mack. You will get to know him soon.

OK! Now that I have blown the dust off of my keyboard I believe it is time for an UPDATE!

I apologize for the amount of time it’s taking between comic posts. I know our wonderful, faithful, perfect readers would never say nasty things about us where we can’t hear (I can always hear you, btw) but I understand that we probably deserve some of that at this point.

“Oh, God!” You exclaim, “not a self-deprecating post for their lack of updates!” (I told you I can always hear you).

“Nay, nay!” I respond, “that is not what this at all.”

You see, while Geoff and I are both extraordinarily busy at the moment with jobs, and starting back to school and still trying to sleep and keep the dying husk of a social life alive with an I.V. drip of interaction, we ARE trying to keep this running. We have agreed that this update schedule is atrocious, and that we cannot continue like this, though honestly, this isn’t our only job, and we have to eat, so for the moment, you’re all a little out of luck.

We have agreed, though, that we are going to try to move back toward the two post a week schedule, though I’m not sure when his job will slow down enough to allow that. This is our first attempt at a webcomic, and I think it has turned out gloriously so far.

In the meantime, you can always entertain yourselves with the work of other people. These are some of my personal favorite authors, and I think that you should all go show them some love, if you don’t already:

questionablecontent.net = Written and illustrated by Jeph Jacques. He’s been on a five-a-week update schedule for a while now, so there is a lot of material backlogged in the archive, and a lot of story and character development to go through. I particularly like the way you can see the characters change shape and grow as the comic reaches maturity. Also, Jeph listens to some great music, and half the bands I listen to came from this site.

ratfist.com = Good long-form comic by the creator of Earthworm Jim, Doug TenNapel. If you like superhero comics, this is a good one that break aways from the norm. It’s nearing it’s conclusion now, so it’s the perfect time to jump in and see what he’s up to.

Erfworld.com = Another long-form comic, this one by Xin Ye and Rob Balder. This one pokes a lot of fun at strategy board games and other nerdy conquests. It looks to be long-form, but God only knows when it will end.

There are other recommendations at the bottom of the front page, I just felt like picking a few out that I’ve really been getting into lately and share them with all of you.

Anyway, I’ve discovered something about myself. With the few hours left in the week, I’ve been really resistant to making myself work on the comic. “Now hold on Geoff”, you say, “I’ve been in limbo for 3 weeks, not sure how to react, just because you suck at personal motivation, discipline, and time management?”

Well… yes.

But I feel guilty, and that’s why I’m back with page #029 as well as some goodies coming soon. Page #029 is sort of the end of Part 1 of Vol 2, so next week we’ll begin a new scene. Keep checking the blog over the next couple of days as I will be delivering some insights to new characters you will meet in the next scene. Also, there may be some alterations to the website soon, so keep a lookout for that as well. See… I’m making up for it!  Enjoy!
